    Miss the good old days.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsLearned alot about the computer repair business. Truly enjoyed going to work everyday. Met some interesting people from all over the world!

ConsOnce the company started having financial difficulties everthing went downhill quickly. Numerous payroll checks were returned for insufficient funds. Even when times were good the employees rarely received a yearly review. Unfortunately this company is still hanging on by a thread.

Okay to work for at the start

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat co-workers! learn a lot from other co-workers.

ConsMorals went 100% there disagreed with what management did from time to time. Paychecks started to bounced, and management didn't seem to care anymore.

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove Values, respect your employees.

    Worst place I ever worked

Bench Technician (Former Employee) Vernon Hills, IL

ProsLearned a lot from other technicians. If it was over 100 degree's in the warehouse you got free water! Wow!

ConsTerrible working conditions. Basically an "assembly line" of computer laptop repair. Stacks of laptops came in on one end of bench, you fixed them, then put on the other end of bench for pickup. The worst part was the low morale due to one of the owners who felt his job in the world was to belittle and demean people. He had the opinion that "you can be replaced". After working there for almost 2 years, I'd had enough as did many of the other workers.

Stepping stone outside of education with a glimpse of the real world

Laptop Repair Technician/SMT Engineer (Former Employee) Vernon Hills, IL

ProsThe staff there is pretty good with unlimited wealth of knowledge that can never be obtained through educational institutions.

ConsWorking conditions were absolutely terrible which were borderline to breaking OSHA rules. In two words I would say it's "boot camp". Zero training at this institution with management expecting 0% error. Morale is rather low with zero compliments for completion of task. Management is okay capable of pointing out the employee mistakes yet denies their own.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement REQUIRES further coaching and training. Power trip abuse is another concern which poorly reflects the skills of management.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Owned by losers, managed by losers

Technician (Current Employee) Vernon Hills, IL

ProsThe only reason to work for Micro Medics is because you need a paycheck.

ConsThe owner Matt Sheasby has a wife-beater mentality. Management does not help the technician succeed. Management is childish; it harasses the staff, calls the techs names, harbors people who sexually harrass the office ladies.

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn to be professional. Management is about giving the people you are responsible for the best chance to succeed at their positions. Take the fair share of responsibility for the failings of the technical and office staff because those failings exist in part because of your lack of management and followthrough.
