    Awful Corporate Culture

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Tysons Corner, VA

ProsExcellent products and marketing. Positioned well in their market.

ConsThe politics and drama are out of control. There is so much in-fighting among the executives and various organizations. They make rash decisions and 'knee jerk' reactions. Very condescending to female employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn how to be inspiring Leaders and improve the corporate culture.

    Good place to get started

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood atmosphere thanks to lots of young people to keep you on your toes, lots of different job opportunities and ways to climb the ladder, though some moves may be lateral

ConsPay is pretty low, so it's a good place to start and get experience. Some people move up, but some people just end up leaving and getting paid a lot more.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere should be incentives for the senior people to stay, especially in Tech Support.

Overall a great experiance, but wasn't a long term fit

Consultant (Former Employee) Saint Louis, MO

ProsExcellent training through the required bootcamp. Gives you the experiance with the product needed to be successful on client projects. My direct managers and most other consultants I worked with were good.

ConsTravel can be too much unless you live in a city where major account(s) are located. Quarterly professional development goals in addition to client work can be overwhelming. These too items together make for poor work life balance.

Advice to Senior ManagementEase up on quarterly development goals.

Great first job but suffers from a high rate of turn over and limited career growth options after initial promotion

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Vienna, VA

ProsEasy to rise in the organization and is a great first job.

ConsHigh rate of turn-over for many positions. People are too comfortable in their positions and Management does not take action regarding lazy employees since on paper everything looks excellent.

Advice to Senior ManagementCompensate the senior employees more generously as they are what keeps this company moving forward. Investigate and take action regarding why average length of employment is less than one year for new hires.

    Impressive vision, no execution

Director of Professional Services (Current Employee)

Prosmid-size software company pushing the limits of BI in web, mobile, social, and cloud, so pretty decent prospects all in all. Relatively young average age, so not too many stodgy old-school people.

ConsRe-orgs on at least a quarterly basis. Dysfunctional leadership team. No execution to realize the vision or, worse, sacrifice current business to blindly chase the vision.

Advice to Senior ManagementPick one plan and stick to it.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    Systems Engineer at Microstrategy

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsPositive work environment, easy going managers, solid job security, fitness center.

ConsNo tuition reimbursement for graduate school.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
