Pros
Money, prestige. And it makes for a great feather on you resume. And at least back in the day the stock compensation was terrific.
Cons
Giant corporation that moves exceedingly slowly. You'll also be a cog in a giant machine. Plus with all those moving parts going into each software release, it takes an inordinate amount of time to go from project start to finish.
Advice to Senior Management
Find a way to adopt a much more flexible approach to development.
Pros
Incredible benefits, equitable compensation, opportunity for mobility within the company.
Cons
I'd like to see a better work life balance encouraged.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay more attention to people at all levels, including asking them for advice.

The best thing about this place for me is the very huge breadth of opportunities that are available to me here.

Advice to Senior Management
More communication is always good!
Pros
You have the ability to advance vertically or laterally. You can virtually do anything you wish within the company.
Cons
As with big companies like this, it can be bureaucratic here, and management communicates changes after they have already been made.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to and empower the account management team as they are the closest to the customer.

A negative thing is that we definitely need a lot more organic food choices in the cafeteria here in general.

Make management tighter, and put more organic food in the cafeteria.

Microsoft is their own banker. The insurance benefits here are great, there are mobile career opportunities, and good creature comforts.
