I have been working at Midtown Athletic Club full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

great locations, not to corporate, lots of flexibility at work.

    Cons

Can never get marketing for events, poor opportunities for advancement, weak leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create clear goals for employees, cost of services change making customers confused and making it harder to sell.

I worked at Midtown Athletic Club full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I liked the duties I had - operations, personal training and group exercise. Some of the other employees were friendly.

    Cons

The benefits were average at best. There was very poor management at multiple levels. It was a very poor work / life balance. The pay was not sufficient for the time and effort required.

    Best health club in Atlanta

I have been working at Midtown Athletic Club as a contractor (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Superior staff and facility. Everybody knows your name. CLEAN! Current equipment and a wide variety of classes.

    Cons

While there have been some growing pains, the current staff has changed the culture. The club is well on it's way to thriving membership and a really fun place to be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep on doing what it is that you are doing. The open communication and 'fun place to be' attitude is working.

I have been working at Midtown Athletic Club part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Absolutely everything about this place is a pro.

    Cons

Only get a 30 minute break; however; with all that is in the area, thirty (30) minutes is enough time to get in your car, get fast food, eat it, and get back with five (5) minutes to spare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. Management knows what they're doing - and they're brilliant at it.

I worked at Midtown Athletic Club part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I had a great Front Desk manager. Most of the other people working there were nice and I made some friends while working there. I got to use the club for free, and enjoyed working there overall.

    Cons

General manager wasn't the greatest. Didn't seem to care about people much, just policies.

    Pros

You will receive tremendous training at all levels. Very systematic in their approach, which provides great structure for business. Midtown is a world leader in the tennis industry. Copied a lot but never duplicated. Training for entry level to mid level staff is exceptional.

    Cons

None, unless you are afraid of working hard.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management has to be aware of continued growth for it's top managers.

    Pros

One of the best places to work-out in Georgia.

    Cons

The Staff has had some really fantastic Employee's, but the turnover is too rapid. Maybe they should give raises and respect them better?
