Great company - really treat employees like people and not just a number on their payroll.

    I worked at Midwest Petroleum

    Pros

If everything falls into place correctly you may only have to work around 35 to 40 hours a week. You can get free fountain drinks once you pay for your cup.

    Cons

As a store manager you have to cover the shift if somebody calls in sick. The pay is very low compared to other employers in the industry. The worst part is the company will jump straight to punishing you for something you did wrong instead of taking the time to train you and properly motivate you. Turnover is extremely high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I felt like some basic leadership capabilities were lacking from the senior management. The CEO is a really nice guy and good leader; however, the rest of the people seem to be some better training. You should take some time to train and develop your employees instead of giving a write-up every time somebody makes a mistake.
