Current Employee – been working at Milestone Technologies full-time for more than a year

Pros – Great work environment, extremely fast pace, everyone's bright, friendly, approachable, easy to work with, and works hard toward the success of the company and taking themselves to the next level. Milestone throw great parties, events, and company lunches. The compensation is competitive, benefits are great, and everyone is treated like family. There are tons of advancement opportunities, shared company resources, and corporate learning experiences. The internet connection speed is really fast, and the IT infrastructure, and corporate systems are well maintained. I think those who currently work for Milestone should consider themselves lucky enough to be brought into an environment where so many collaborate between a local and global level.

Cons – No free breakfast, lunch, and dinner, no stock options, no 401k match. (These are some of the things I believe Milestone will provide in the near future).

Advice to Senior Management – Dear Management,

My best advice is to continue to treat everyone with respect and to never forget how much this company has grown and the people that helped get this company to where it is today. I believe this company still has a lot of potential for growth and development, so keep taking this company to the next level and advancing IT. Also, we should have a quarterly company meeting to get everyone on the same page, and have management show/tell us why what we do matters to the companies we support and to you.

Pros – If you work hard and show that you care about your work you will be rewarded for it. Also, if something isn't quite right, you can go to the CEO to get it resolved. He is available for his employees and knows everyones name. Great work life balance, and a few company events each year.

Cons – I know they are working on doing this but automating a few of the everyday functional processes to speed things up.

Pros – The amount of growth one can get in their career. The knowledge that can be gained. The relaxed work environment.

Cons – The commute over the bridge for those wo live in the peninsula side of the bay

Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the great mgmt style that you practice. Make sure to always invest in staff that is more than willing and capable of getting the job done.

Pros – Milestone has a who's who of Silicon Valley as clients, of course this is because they under price all of the services and take it out by having little to no benefits and operating at best under the reader in the legal department.

Cons – The best experience yet was attending an executive leadership meeting in which the CEO had a life coach assist him in appropriately communicating to his executive staff at one point the life coach told him on a live mic to shut up.

The HR department they have discriminatory practices in regards to background checks choosing on whom to run educational and employment checks and only using e-verify on non Caucasian applicants.

Advice to Senior Management – Have CEO step down , allow the new senior management to take care of the employees and stop the discriminatory and illegal practices.

Pros – There were no pros to my experience while working there. It was really a terrible place to work at. Would never accept a position with this company again.

Cons – Terrible benefits. Extreme micromanagement. Was expected to support multiple clients, when that was not the case explained in my contract when I joined the company. No real training just read the client's extremely out of date run book. My name would show up as a support agent in random client's run books with out being notified or trained. Was on-call every other week so there was no really work-life balance. If you take a job there be sure to keep in constant contact with HR about your PTO.

Advice to Senior Management – Treat your employees better. Without them there is no company. I agree with another reviewer about giving raises or cost of living raises to employees there greater then 1 year. Was there a year and a half and never got anything.

Pros – Ability to do and build things your way for most low level projects and tasks. Exceptional HR staff. Salaries are very fair. Working with clients who are industry leaders. Strong support of work/life balance. Really great people at the Director level and below. Passion of Executive VP, support of COO

Cons – Extreme micromanagement by CEO. Leadership teams are unable to make any meaningful decisions without CEO's involvment.

Competent recruiters
Decent benefits
Good staff communication

Cons – Contract only jobs
No chance of being hired by support (in-sourcing) company
No advancement or HR support to get you there

Advice to Senior Management – Start offering temp-to-hire positions
Offer clear steps on how to move up the company ladder
Give veteran employees (1+ years) a raise
Offer a matching 401K up to a certain dollar amount
