I worked at Millcreek Community Hospital

    Pros

    401 K; Kudos from a leader;

    Cons

Lack of administrative support; limited education for nurses; understaffed. this hosoital hires nurses whose licenses should have been revoked.

    Advice to Management

    reinvest in quality nursing leadership.

    Pros

    Co workers, close to home

    Cons

Condescending and rude mgmt, doctors screaming like children, treat nurses like dirt

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and you wouldn't have such turn over. Micromanagement at its finest.

    Pros

some really nice physician colleagues, multitasking is a plus and a minus--you will learn a lot out of necessity if you want to keep patients safe

    Cons

The practices at this place are all about making money and glorifying their school. They treat nurses and aides horribly and everything is about them making money and nothing about the patient. The benefits are absolutely the worst in town. Do not expect to be treated like a professional unless you are willing to by unprofessional in your approach to you job. You will feel like you are going to get fired at any moment for reporting the unethical behavior. You also may feel sexually harassed. If you are not willing to flirt and play the game--go somewhere else.

    Advice to Management

Treating all employees well benefits the organization. Offering respect to nurses, aides, support employees, and not making the money the owners make the bottom line would much improve the reputation and the care.

    Pros

Meeting the nice patients and getting to make them smile everyday.
free ER visits to their hospital

    Cons

NEVER enough staff always doing the work of 2-3 people and you HAD to finish your work before you left and if you wernt done before your shift ended you had to clock out and THEN finish!! which was usually an hour later.
    asked to do illegal practices
    turn over rate is horrible
90% of doctors there are still in school learning

    Advice to Management

Get more equipment so your not forcing your employees to do illegal practices and hurt themselves. Also get better management who are more hands on with ALL of the shifts and are caring. Lastly hire more people and be nice to them so they stay!

    Pros

When I worked there the benefits were decent. My coworkers were amazing and became part of my family. First shift hours were great.

    Cons

Don't expect to make a good living in administration. They are extremely cheap and do not pay well. Certain individuals (not all) in the senior management level treat employees poorly.

    Advice to Management

    Be nicer to your employees

    Pros

benefits, free parking., close to shopping!

    Cons

poor training, insubordination, employee favoritism, lack of employee dress code, (don't we all own an iron?) to many hands in the pot, lack of professional ethics when dealing with mangers, other employees looking through others work, desk etc when employee not present.

    Advice to Management

Training!!! Even Walmart has 4 days of general training then more job specific training to boot.
