I worked at Millennia Housing Management full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Some lower level managers are approachable 2. Candy at the front desk

    Cons

    1. Pay is significantly under market 2. Most of management is unapproachable 3. Far behind the times with any kind of technology (This may have changed since I was there, but they are very resistant to change) 4. One week paid vacation in the first year 5. VERY high turnover

    Advice to Management

    1. Pay people 50% more than you do and give some bonus and a pay raise each year 2. Open your office doors and listen to employees 3. Take a look at who is managing your employees and clean house

I worked at Millennia Housing Management full-time

    Pros

Salary is decent if you love working 80 hour weeks and occasionally sleeping in your car.

    Cons

Upper management is brutal. They really are workaholics and threaten you to do the same. You are lucky to have any time with your family except on Sunday if you want to stay employed. They fire people all their time!

    Advice to Management

Please value your employees more. Most people work scared day in and day out.

I have been working at Millennia Housing Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They truly care about their employees. The work may be hard at times but they support you through all the challenges and inspections that come with HUD and Tax credit management. They also give great training. The annual meetings are not only educational but they make it fun.

    Cons

Some of the computer software needs updated and if accounting and management could use the same program it would make the job easier.

    Advice to Management

As you grow and purchase more properties don't loose site of the human perspective. It is was makes your company such an enjoyable place to work.

  7. Millennia Housing is one of the best property management companies out there today due to their care for the employee.

    Pros

The owners and senior management seem to understand the day to day challenges of field management and are always there to give positve feedback.

    Cons

They could use a technology upgrade. There is a disconnect between the accountants and property managers using different computer software.

    Advice to Management

As the company grows remember to treat your employees with the same care and concern you have always done. When employees are treated with respect its a win win for the company.
