  1. Communication by some, not by others.

    I worked at Millennium Pharmacy

    Pros

Good work-life balance. Some managers are good at delegating and communicating what goes on with the company.

    Cons

Some managers have no people skills.

Vacation and sick time rolled into one tiny PTO number.

  2. It could have been great, but was mired in doubt.

I have been working at Millennium Pharmacy full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people, great potential, great industry.

    Cons

While change was needed in multiple areas, management was always hesitant to change pretty much anything, unless required by regulation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't fear change. Improvement REQUIRES change by definition!

Sometimes has good OT oppurtunities. (Although sometimes rare.)

    Cons

Effort goes unnoticed. Got crosstrained to help elsewhere, no recognition / supplemental earnings.
Some people seem to get preferential treatment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Millennium Pharmacy full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility in terms of PTO use. Benefits are okay, not great or horrible. Decent work life balance. Coworkers are friendly and cooperative.

    Cons

Management by crisis, many functions and departments are understaffed to the point where important work is not getting done. A series of layoffs over several years have left departments with entry level employees who must perform work that should be done by a manager or supervisor. Most new hires are just warm bodies and may or may not be qualified for their jobs. Pay is not close to competitive with the market and it is astounding the good employees the company does have continue to stay. Certain practices are not done in accordance with GAAP. In my opinion, I have significant doubt this company has the ability to operate as a going concern in for the next 12 months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Millennium Pharmacy full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The demographic for what this company might service is ever growing.

    Cons

The demographic for what this company might service is ever growing, but they were never able to capture the contracts that would continue the growth it was experiencing when I hired on. The management team that was on a positive growth track was replaced and the board of directors installed a new team that really was like no other I had ever experienced. I really didn't get it and was dumb founded. Growth was no longer center stage.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Know your mission and understand the resources on hand or needed to achieve it.

I worked at Millennium Pharmacy full-time

    Pros

Reasonable pay for call center work.

    Cons

Extraordinarily disorganized. Poor management. Non-existent communication. Finger pointing. Failure to plan adequately. SOPs that do not adequately meet needs and were not adequately enforced by management. Reps forced to lie to customers. Hires from outside instead of promoting from within. Conducted mass layoffs and then months later would have to hire new people. Rotating door. Ability to request off of work was extremely limited due to low staffing, which is particularly problematic at a place that is open 24/7 including holidays. Extremely low morale and high cynicism from co workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No need to give advice because they aren't interested in it anyway.

I worked at Millennium Pharmacy full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    flexibility in scheduling work appointments

    Cons

Area managers need to spend more time in the field assisting the field representatives, particularly with "hot" accounts, to lend support and not sit at home on laptops.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make field travel for area/regional managers part of their responsibility.
