    Pros

Regular customers, specials keep new people coming in the door, clean kitchen, helpful managers. Almost always a way to pick up an extra shift if necessary.

    Cons

The clientele can occasionally be challenging, especially the Sunset Dinner crowd. Late nights can sometimes stretch til 3am. You'll end up covering shifts on your only day off more often than you like.

    Advice to Management

The shift meetings that occur between lunch and dinner can sink the place if they run too long. There should be a transition guy who comes in an hour before night crew to help smooth out the change.

    Pros

Times passes by quickly if you have a few tables.

    Cons

Sometimes it can be really slow and you might be cut off ahead of time. You barely have any tables, barely make any tips and then you have to split your tips with busser/hostess and you end up with basically nothing.

    Pros

Your coworkers will be fun people to be around.

    Cons

Not the best type of guests you want to serve. Many people come in looking for an inexpensive meal and therefore don't tip accordingly. It's getting too corporate for what the company is worth.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the suggestions fellow staff members provide. Have more respect for your employees.

    Pros

Management stays fairly consistent. Expectations are given up front. Staff becomes family

    Cons

Corporate tries to change things that were working just fine. We began charging customers that order premium liquor drinks a juice charge. I believe that is ridiculous. Also, since the company has changed owners, employee appreciation has disappeared. We no longer get holiday gifts.

    Advice to Management

Stop charging customers for juice in their already expensive and under poured drink. Recognize employees for their hard work and dedication. Also, stop nickel and dimeing the customers. It is tacky.

    Pros

There is a great balance between the co-workers, and the pay is well. Average is about $20/hr just in tips

    Cons

Management. The restaurant has the possibility to be the best in the city, however there is no fluidity between managers and the rest of the staff. One tries to do his best but it still is not great. There's constant yelling at employees in the direct view of the guests

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees as how you'd like to be treated. Don't belittle or become condescending when faced with simple issues. Appreciate the staff you have

    Pros

Bar tending the money is good. Company is expanding. Above industry salaries for managers.

    Cons

Long bartending hours (11 hours). The leadership of the corporation is very old fashion, therefore R&D is limited, Innovation, training, coaching and development values are not in place.

    Advice to Management

Value more the human capital. Happy employee = happy customers.
