I have been working at Milligan College part-time

    Pros

This college still values liberal arts. It has smaller classes, which allows for a lot of interaction with students. It is a beautiful campus situated in one of the prettiest places in Tennessee.

    Cons

I can't speak as to the benefits, since I am only part-time. Full time faculty have a heavy class load. If you are not a part of one of the central departments, you can sometimes feel a little left out. It is very Christian.

I worked at Milligan College as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Professors who enjoy their job and communicating one on one with students. Fantastic staff and prepare students well for real world applications. Job wise, lookes good on a resume

    Cons

Enjoyed my time here, however size and accreditation. No one knows where or what Milligan is. It would be easier to find a job otherwise.

I have been working at Milligan College part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

One of the best reasons I enjoy working at Milligan is because of their work-study option. I get to work for Milligan College while also studying at the school. Depending on how much I want to earn towards my tuition, I can decide where my money goes, whether it's towards tuition or direct deposit to my checking account.

    Cons

I cannot really think of a specific challenge or difficulty of working at Milligan College.

I worked at Milligan College part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people, a beautiful environment, interesting history, and a culture that promotes spiritual growth and professional development. Perhaps I am a bit biased, since this is my alma mater, but I would not be opposed to returning to Milligan some day.

    Cons

Since it is somewhat hidden in the mountains of Tennessee, exposure can be an issue. Also, constant growth means that sometimes construction can make getting around campus somewhat inconvenient.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on making broader connections with big companies for the benefit of employees and students alike.
