I worked at Milwaukee Bucks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It was a great opportunity to work for a professional sports franchise. Enjoyed the fast paced work environment, and wonderful fans. Learned a lot about the business of sports. Game days can be very fun and offer a great opportunity to interact with fans and support the brand.

    Cons

In season work schedule can be grueling due to the long hours on game days. Lack of competitive pay and benefits. Employee's didn't always feel as if management supported them when dealing with difficult clients and/or fans. Management discards veteran staff for younger and cheaper staff annually.

I worked at Milwaukee Bucks full-time

    Pros

    Working in sports. Free soda?

    Cons

It's easy to see why this team is the laughing stock of the NBA. Everyone here is holding on to their 1980s success. Literally. Everyone has mounds and mounds of stuff in their offices/desks. Some places you can't even walk through. This place is the biggest dump. Management is terrible. There are people here that do no belong in their positions. Not sure if there are any central decisions makers or not. Many people are simply incompetent.

    Advice to Management

Everything needs to be re-built. I hope when the new owners come around that they completely rebuild this organization. If not, then move it out of Milwaukee.

    Pros

Got to watch some of the games. Worked with other students in pairs. Learned how to approach all different kinds of people

    Cons

It is the same exact thing every single time so it's gets old and tedious. You are basically just asking people to sign up for a raffle-sales.

    Advice to Management

Teach people some selling techniques so that they can succeed. Management needs to be more organized and give feedback to workers.
