    I worked at Minacs

    Pros

Minacs provided great benefits and up to date technology for it its employees to do their jobs proficiently and those that give the best results for quotas are rewarded.

    Cons

The "bidding" method they use to determine work shifts is incredibly inconvenient. No matter your scheduling preferences if they need you for multiple split shifts in a week they will assign them to you regardless. Even in non-sales positions those with higher sales get first choice of shifts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Eliminating split shifts and write ups for absences due to illness, so long as proper documentation is given, would greatly reduce the high turnover rate and training costs.

I have been working at Minacs full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The work is relatively easy. They offer okay pay and good benefits. They try to engage employees with fun activities.

    Cons

Management sucks! Be prepared to be micro-managed to death. Not enough recognition given to those who really deserve it. Since the majority of the employees here are in their 20s and 30s, it is very 'clicky' high-school type of environment. The worst part is that managment ONLY cares about the bottom line.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    STOP MICRO MANAGING!

I have been working at Minacs

    Pros

Interview process is very extremely easy. Very casual laid back atmosphere, they let you eat jeans everyday. Cool people to work with and unlimited overtime.

    Cons

Where can i start? Management is very unprofessional and rude...sometimes they screw up the amount in your paycheck or even recieving your bonus. They are not flexible with scheduling at all....your schedules alternate each week when you first get hired but if you stay long enough you can ask for the shifts schedule tho be alternated monthly. A lot of drama between employees it feels like you are in high school again! A lot of micro managing and miscommunication between upper management and employees. Not a lot of room for growth in leadership.

I have been working at Minacs full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with and plenty of overtime hours to pick up with incentives added on top of your hourly pay

    Cons

No growth opportunities here. Very transitional company. Upper management is a joke.

You have to constantly ask for simple things such as calling over to floor support to acknowledge login issues.

I've seen better teamwork in a childrens soccer match then I have with upper management and hourly employees here.

Its definitely a lot of favoritism here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire outside management to get a feel of what leadership should be like. Promitng from within is great but fosters favoritism within departments that brings down employee morale.

    Pros

I totally don't see any pros in here

    Cons

Absolutely pathetic work environment,No cubes allocated,Pathetic business process, absolutely no tools used in anything. They focus just on the output.Requirements are just 2 liners.they absolutely don't care about employees...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would be great if at least a very minimal focus is given on infrastructure and business process..
