I have been working at Mincom full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very competitive pay and benefits. Collaborative spirit between most departments and teams once trust is built. Aggressive and commitment sales staff with a great sales technique. Great C-Level leadership, not afraid to try new things for a time.

    Cons

Weak mid-level and GM leadership. Lacking good 1:1 communications, direction, and mentoring. Some co-worker appear to be back stabber, saying one thing to your face and doing something different. Need to watch your back and make good and trusted allies. Takes some time to make those for everyone is watching out for themselves.

I worked at Mincom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people, solid administrative support, flexible work environment, relatively competitive benefit packages. Good products, plenty of technical challenges.

    Cons

Shaky communication styles. Some employees seem pretty beaten down. Product owners need to learn how to make product decisions, prioritize them, and then communicate it to the teams.

    Advice to Management

Enable and empower the strong technical employees. Get incompetent project managers out of the way (they can turn what should be a 5 minute conversation into a 90 minute time waster). Learn what your customers really need.

I worked at Mincom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Central location in Brisbane, possible life-work balance, but not for all. There's nothing more to say

    Cons

incompetent management, non-existent technology development/growth, low salaries, client sites are in mining areas, coding on client site is practice as standard

    Advice to Management

Learn how to manage and sa NO to clients (no, it is NOT possible to do this amount of work in 6 months! even if you hire 100 people!)
