I have been working at MindField Group as a contractor

    Pros

-great place for someone just starting out in recruiting
    -young culture and fun co-workers
    -nice office and very transit-accessible

    Cons

-wages are not very competitive compared to industry standards
-call-centre environment and pressure to make a certain number of calls each day
-not a lot of advancement opportunities for recruiters

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-give recruiters a chance to do something different and promote from within rather than always hiring externally for non-recruiter roles

I have been working at MindField Group full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers are great (this really is what makes the job)
Office is beautiful and accessible by transit
    Casual atmosphere
Great place to gain valuable work experience
    Account Managers are approachable

    Cons

Work is monotonous and there is limited development within the TAS role
Unrealistic targets which leads to micromanaging
    High Turnover
Management has a tendency to do what 'appears' to be good rather than what works
    Compensation very low

I have been working at MindField Group as a contractor

    Pros

    Great Office Location
    Front line team is amazing
    Pet friendly atmosphere
    flexible schedule
    weekly update meetings
    young culture
Great place to learn more about recruiting

    Cons

-Office building - falling bricks and mice (YUCK!)
-very poor compensation set up - not standard across all recruiters
-benefits - not everyone gets them, and you STILL need to pay MSP
-Lack of longevity with the company - upper management does not care to keep recruiters happy so they will stay with the company - Leads to VERY high turnover
-Recognition only goes to the Team Leads - not the actual recruiters - when it does, it is very limited lacks real gratitude
    - New management is requiring the TL's to micromanage (we're not 12... we know what we're doing)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care more about your employees - it doesn't have to be a party every weekend, pay us better and reward us for our accomplishments
Without us, the company would not be as strong as it is
    STOP micromanaging us!

I worked at MindField Group full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The co-workers are awesome, and you can come in at 9 or 10 or 9:30 just make sure you put in your hours and its good.
The office is a great area and is close to the skytrain.
    You can talk to management.

    Cons

The pay is really low for recruiting and the send targets are really high.
Workers are always stressed because there is so high of a expectation on speed and quantity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Do not micromanage your employees.

I have been working at MindField Group full-time

    Pros

    -wicked cool office location
    -young staff
    -ping-pong table
    -pet friendly
    -good support available
    -visible CEO
    -true to there roots
    -flexible sched
    -cohesive office enviro
    -weekly meetings

    Cons

-unstable at times; never sure if people are staying or going
    -high pressure witH little resources
    -disorganized sometimes (not enough staff)
-takes on more than can be chewed sometimes (re:not enough staff)
-takes the long way around instead of direct way (a to b to c to d to c instead of a to c)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Job security is important for team morale, not just personal job security, but office job security
Anticipate busy times and make sure your ready for them; hire more people if need be, and if you need to spend the time to find the right people DO it - letting someone go after recently hiring them looks really really really really bad to all involved
