Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
Good Place to work for those who are happy with less salary and house wife's. Good work life balance.
Cons
Salary is less, When you get a offer from MindTree do check the break down completely to calculate the take home.
Pros
I started from a small start up.So it was a good break that I got into a company which has a brand value. There are some good projects Mind Tree is trying to start with. Some thing related to Mobile apps.Good training especially with Windows 7 apps.
Cons
It has not been a real great experience til now.I feel quite stagnated.I have huge interest in getting to functional side.I also have prior exp on the same .But I dint see any good encouragement .And the very fact that some of my juniors are already promote to being Senior Software Engineers and My pay scale does not remotely match.Thee is no salary correction that happens.End of the day its not just experience,Money also matters and I feel that I am no way paid as per industry standards
Advice to Senior Management
Nothing in particular.May be couple of capable youngsters in the team can make things better
Pros
Very good work environment and employee friendly programs and policies. There was focus on the technical capability of the employees.
Cons
There are not many onsite opportunities provided. Those who have travelled on previous assignments keep on travelling onsite. Most of the programs are very India centric as the senior management is mostly based out of India.
Pros
World class infrastructure, handsome hike for laterals not for loyal employees who had been there for long time in the company
Cons
Food, compensation, middle management, long working hours, no benefits
Pros
1)Good work culture and ethicates
2)Approchable Higher Management
3)Nice Dress code and restrictive access to social websites
4)Can gain lot of knowledge ,Because most of the work you have to do it
5)Best company for freshers who have a zeal to gain knowledge.
Cons
1)Poor pay,In hand salary is less then what they promise
2)Heavy work load
3)No quality projects to work on
4)Work life balance depends,In most situations just forget about it
5)Can easily be affected by recession
6)job security ,Negligible(You never know when you open your email and find your fired)
7)Managment have no clear goals,Even the employee is confused where the organization is headed towards.
Advice to Senior Management
Even though there is a good communication between the higher and lower managment ,It still lacks in lot of aspects.Give the employee a sense of security towards his job ,he will automatically work better.Need to get in lot of new projects and let the organization goals be a bit more clear and information on how it is being achieved should be passed to all it employees.
Finally a personal note form my heart:
"Never hire if u wanna fire"
Pros
company cares, sensitive to people
Cons
hard work goes unnoticed blue eyed poster boys are preferred
you have to be close to top management to get recognition this i know since I have worked here very long and hard with great aspirations and now looking out
Advice to Senior Management
don't be short sighted, think of all who contribute and be sensitive to great aspirations
don't be satisfied with labels of best employer etc which is meaningless
don't hype observe how far ahead the great companies are
Pros
work life balance
Easy accessible to management
Flexible working hours
Cons
Politics
Ample onsite opportunity
Bad managers
Variable pay.... CTC doesn't match with take home(lots difference)
Advice to Senior Management
Remove variable pay and notice the political gizmo and provide opportunities to all.
Pros
1. Good compensation.
2. Supportive HRs.
3. You are free to choose your way of working. No interference by anyone.
4. When issue arises, you will be given fair opportunities to explain the cause.
5. Employee friendly HR policies.
6. Will not be on bench for a long time as MindTree always has excess of projects.
7. Information flow at different levels is very clear.
Cons
1. You will be put in some projects in which your true expertise will not be required.
2. Few gets promotion just by "LUCK" [Management gives him/her promotion just to bill the client more] and others have to write exams.
Advice to Senior Management
While promoting someone, please follow fair rules. Do not give privilege to people who praises you.
Pros
Best career growth oppertunities for the freshers
Cons
Not clear on what they are doing
Advice to Senior Management
Give confidence to the employees
