    Pros

    Good Opportunities for campus minds.
    Good Healthy competition among colleagues.

    Cons

Flow of control from top to bottom is not so easy.
Understanding the policies is bit tough.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring back the old Mindtree class values which was always employee friendly and I feel we are moving away from employee friendly company.

I have been working at Mindtree full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Culture, Helping Employees and approachable senior management

    Cons

No proper career paths for management grads, less number of projects pertaining to core business of the customers and average compensation to employees leading to a higher attrition rate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide flexible path for career progression via multiple channels like the one started recently (Internal Job Portals). Identify resources which are needed for company to grow and retain them by compensating decently as per market norms so as to avoid distress hiring at a higher cost.

I have been working at Mindtree

    Pros

Opportunity to work across different accounts and markets. Great career progression. Transparent and positive environment to work. Focused leadership team.

    Cons

Company value system is good, however rigor to deploy the same is quite weak. Culture within the group could be better. Perks and incentives are not on par with the market leaders.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rigor to deploy company's value should improve. Culture within the group should have lot more focus for improvement. Management should revisit the perks and incentive policy to be on par with the other IT companies.

I have been working at Mindtree full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall it is a very relaxed work place. IMO suitable for those who prefer to relax and work at their own pace.

For juniors employees it is a good place to learn and experiement.
There is plenty of options for learning, and since the work environment is slow in general (most, but not all projects/teams) there is lot of time to spare for learning. Plus the management encourages employees to learn continuously and take advantage of the many courses and training sessions available.

Internal Job transfers are possible so employees can try different roles.

    Cons

Management and work-environment is kind of slow. As a result, even after 15 years, the company's processes and practices are a long way from that of mature organizations.

Management in general is saturated by older employees, that have been in the company for almost a decade or more. Their mindset and nature probably seems to be influencing the pace of the workplace - keeping it calm and relaxed, rather than competitive and fast. This may or may not be good depending on the priority of individuals.

Though the company is over a decade old, processes and procedures are still evolving, which makes it quite frustrating for employees who move in from matured organizations. Mindtree still has a long way to go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the management's mindset to grow and compete stronger in the environment, with the goal to be a industry leader.

I have been working at Mindtree full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

I joined Mindtree 2 years ago as a Business Analyst.
    - Freedom to choose domain and projects. Flexibility to choose Technology as well.
    - Good Work culture and values, which have been the founding stone of the company.
    - Higher ups are receptive to ideas, new products / concepts.
    - Top Management is quite approachable
    - Ample opportunities to grow, if you are up for it
    - Work in Mindtree definitely gives you an edge over other companies, you get nicely groomed for the next switch.
    - As a company it focuses on innovation and tries to be lean
    - They have a consulting culture at its core. Have much fewer clients than other service providers, but much higher share of wallet.

    Cons

    - One of the worst paymasters in the industry.
    - The take home salary is even worse, because of ridiculous policies.
    - Hikes are very low - almost always single digit.
    - Negligible hike difference in high and low performers .. killing all motivation
    - High attrition - more than 22%
    - Leadership vacuum - the company has been undergoing big time structural changes for last one year now

Perks of a small company getting eroded:
    - Notice Period increased from 2 to 3 months
    - Office situated outside the city
    - Mandatory working hours
    - Twisted medical leave policies

Payroll, HR, Admin policies are a wreck. When it comes to policy formulation, Mindtree is still in an infancy state.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Three things:
    - Correct your salary structure across the board keeping Industry standards in mind. (This has been the primary reason for a stupendous attrition rate)
    - Get some outside body to review internal policies and processes. You are a 15yr old, 13K+ company not a startup anymore.
    - Do more to retain talent

    I worked at Mindtree

    Pros

I Enjoyed each and every moment of working in the company, as I got to know the actual working environment of IT companies, to produce the result under challenging conditions. I learned the new technologies which gave me a strong base to carry forward in the future. I was given a situation where I had to come with new ideas to cross the hurdles which was more interesting and a new learning process for me. Cheers to my technical experience of 2 years, which had motivated me to continue my studies in the domain of my work experience.

    Cons

The most challenging the thing was the learning gap, means while working we were getting educated about the day to day advancements in the technologies, which we were not used to while in the colleges.

Good for freshers as training is so good and tough too.
    Fun at workplace

    Cons

Work Life balance depends on project. Less take home salary compared to others. Delay in giving bonus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Working hours policy is not good. Some policies need to be changed.
