I have been working at Mindtree full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good projects, training, and policies

    Cons

So many managers. Pyramid shape is not good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut the unwanted managers. or hire lot of freshers to improve the shape. (growing older and doing the same work will not make a manager)

I have been working at Mindtree full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great work culture, one can have better work-life balance,

    Cons

Salary, not much opportunity, longer bench period, no suitable roles which is an impediment to the career progression

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reducing salary will not generate revenues or profits, think long term and have stronger Sales and Business Managers. If Managers are not able to get revenues, please do not try to take away or reduce benefits to compensate those. That only aggravate the situation.

I worked at Mindtree full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Strong Technical staff, lots of opportunity

    Cons

Very poor management. inexperienced and immature managers promoted over senior 20+year professionals from US. Company clearly biased toward employees of Indian heritage. Company hires senior, experienced US based talent to improve both internal practices, grow business, and improve management skills, but consistently drives experienced hires out of the company....I have witnessed 3 generations of this behavior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop discriminatory practices, LISTEN to your employees,

    I worked at Mindtree

    Pros

Good place to learn, and friendly folks (esp. the ones who have been there long)

    Cons

With the opening of US development center, a lot of work being done in Bangalore is being sold as done in Gainesville. This has led to taking away credit from the good employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to avoid unnecessary competition within company

I have been working at Mindtree full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    I cannot think of any.

    Cons

No hikes. No promotions. No recognitions

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management thrives on the concept of 'Openness'.
Recognize people for their contributions. At present, management follows strategy of "I take care of you and you take care of me...the others go to hell" policy. Promotions, rewards and recognitions are given not on merits, but on who bribes their managers the most.

Have you heard of Halo effect in PMP. The entire middle management of Mindtree is filled up with developers who were promoted because they were good developers and now have zero management skills.

I have been working at Mindtree full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good company to work with or start you career.
People friendly company, based on social responsibility and caring structure.
Multiple possibilities in terms of bringing a right mix of experience and flavors in your resume

    Cons

Salary - Money paid to an employee for regular work performed that is supposed to reflect the true value of the employee to the company, but more often resembles a bad joke.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick to what you say, if you don't, then your word's won't mean anything - this is purely for hikes and promotions. For monetary part they are on the negative side.
