I have been working at Minneapolis Community and Technical College Police part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a really laid back environment. The best part was you got to study. That's pretty helpful as a student.

    Cons

Honestly nothing bad to say. The police officers you work with are quite fun.

    Advice to Management

I would have said have more stations with computers. But since I was there last, they have invested in those for students who need computer access.

  2. Amazing people to work with!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Minneapolis Community and Technical College Police full-time

    Pros

A good way to get your foot into Higher Ed.

    Cons

Poor pay structure. Lack of clear supervision makes it hard to know what the goals of your position is. Lack of support from administration make it difficult to start any new programs.

    Advice to Management

Get the faculty under control and all on the same page to make sure that programs will actually be able to be successful.
