    Staff and student experience

    Administrative Assistant (Current Employee)
    Mankato, MN

ProsGreat learning environment for students with a faculty and staff who have a sincere commitment to students' academic growth. We have a very helpful staff to work with and we can come together to accomplish a common goal.

ConsPromotion within the university is difficult, usually hire from outside of the university. Politics play a role and there is so much red tape to get through.

    Great coworkers, poor management

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThere is a wide-spread, deep and sincere commitment to students' academic and personal growth. There is strong support for faculty and staff professional development.

ConsNo one is willing to make the tough decisions. The leadership wants to be all things to all people, rather than focus on the University's strengths and build on that. It means that almost every employee is overworked and pulled in many different directions.

Advice to Senior ManagementSet priorities and fund accordingly.

    – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
