I worked at Miranda Technologies full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good company culture. Good leadership. They provided product-line cross training. I worked with a very good team of field engineers for the automation product. It was the first time I saw a CEO conduct an employee feedback survey and share the results with the company, and also share a plan of action to address the results of the survey.

    Cons

Field engineer work requires intensive travel.

I have been working at Miranda Technologies

    Pros

The engineering was top-notch, from design to testing and implementation.

    Cons

Treat customers poorly and they will gladly abandon ship.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In a shrinking market, selling on value is a quixotic adventure.

I worked at Miranda Technologies full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The technology and drive to standardize broadcast automation and put it on a platform readily available without tons of third party stuff is exciting and rewarding, particularly if you enjoy finding root cause and seeing fixes as a result of your work.

    Cons

Travel was sometimes heavy but that is to be expected during times of peak sales/implementation. Sometimes being on the leading edge requires methodical resolution to bugs and user issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Partnerships with large companies from multiple areas of the broadcast realm would be ideal. A broad overview of how different media providers handle daily workflows is super important in developing a robust, all encompassing product.

    Pros

Very strong company in the broadcast field, nice benefits and vacations, social events, nice people too.

    Cons

Salary is not very fair, sometimes a new person with very low experience in the field can start with a much higher salary that a person with several years of experience in the company and a lot of studies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

give more value to those people with more than 5 years inside the company, is a experience that would take years to be replaced even for the most qualified new employee.

I have been working at Miranda Technologies full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very friendly work environment, company invests a good fraction in R&D and constantly works on perfecting its products. One of the most fastest growing mid-sized companies in Canada.
President is a super nice guy, approachable and hard working.

    Cons

the only downside are the wages that are somewhat underpaid (overtime is almost not an option) H&R is also very slow in their hiring process and way behind in their employee performance recognition programs.....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

invest more in your employees and quit being so cheap at times.

I worked at Miranda Technologies full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Employees are fairly well treated
Company has shown to be stable over time
    Work environment is fairly pleasant

    Cons

Miranda is a engineering hardware-driven company. If you are not an engineer in the hardware LOB you're wasting your time.
They have little experience, or competence, in designing or selling software.
Overall the corporate culture is very staid and boring.
Don't work here if you are looking for an exciting, cutting-edge company.
