Advice to Senior Management
N/A
Pros
Good compensations, salary, and bonus. Great and devoted employees, very likable, cooperative, and appreciative when one does something to help them and make their job easier. Greatly enjoy working with crew.
Cons
Not a recommended company to work at unless you like the military life style: obey, execute, and do not question what your supervisor says. Work environment filled with fear of being written up or fired, lack of trust between employees and management. Poor communication (upward-downward). Management (line & senior) lead by intimidation, yelling, and putdowns.......No a healthy or professional place to work at. They just want to look :good on paper"!!
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of the "Red Neck" attitude! Be humble and listen to your employees! Treat everyone, regardless of rank, or color with respect and dignity like the way you want to be treated. Eliminate the fearful and intimidation. Be Genuine and caring, rather than "phony", and mostly eliminate "favoritism" and preferential treatment of employees.
Pros
Opportunities to learn if you were proactive. A great environment to work in - laid back with an open door policy. Not a lot of employee turnover.
Cons
Not enough information flow from senior management. It may have varied by department, but no flexibility for 9/80 work weeks or telecommuting.
Pros
Mirant allows people to explore and advance their skills. Low employee turnover with outstanding people. Competitive pay and benefits.
Cons
Micromanagement can be an issue.
Advice to Senior Management
Lighten up on the micromanagement, and allow your resources to do their job. If they aren't capable, replace them.
