I have been working at Mission Support Alliance as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Great co-workers and managment. Coming from the outside of the industry I was welcomed in to the group and given great opportuinites to learn and get real world experience.

    Cons

Limited pay escalation, and for the most part a person has to move around in positions in order to advance.

I have been working at Mission Support Alliance full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The compensation is very good. It is satisfying to be helping to clean up the US Department of Energy's Hanford Nuclear Reservation. The information technology talent at the company is excellent. Management is very helpful with guiding and facilitating the growth of our information system's technology and workscope. Since Hanford Cleanup is a high priority issue in the US, the outlook for work stability and longevity is good. Safety on the job is an extremely high priority, so it is a safe place to work.

    Cons

As a federal government contractor, we are susceptible to the government's budgetary issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management should spend time visiting all the work groups to be more in touch with what work is like for everyone.
