I have been working at Missionary Training Center part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

One of the best student jobs.
    Good pay.
    Great to work with missionaries.
    Fulfilling and rewarding environment

    Cons

Tough hours sometimes and limited vacation time. Not very flexible in terms of hours and you'll have to make some sacrifices in your school schedule.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I like it when I feel like my boss is invested in the missionaries rather than carrying out rules and regulations.

    Cons

Bureaucracy, too many meeting, need to focus more on teaching skills rather than cultivating the culture

    Pros

Great culture of autonomous learning and improvement, desired training available, focus on personal growth, great pay

I worked at Missionary Training Center part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I loved being able to work at the MTC. Amazing co-workers for the most part. A few bad apples but you learn to dean with them. Was able to work on home work during downtime so that made it great as a student.

    Cons

Sometime things can get a bit political but not horrible.

I have been working at Missionary Training Center

    Pros

The people are generally good to work with, the missionaries are a blast, and the pay is really good.

    Cons

A lot of red tape. Sometimes it takes months to get something started when it should really only take a week at most.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be just a little more proactive in department improvements.

I worked at Missionary Training Center part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Working here helped me become a more well rounded individual and push myself to grow personally. I would encourage any RM to work here.

    Cons

It is a little hard to work here, as the MTC sets your schedule and doesn't really work with you to accommodate classes, and class sign ups are before you even get your schedule for the next semester

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more helpful and flexible for class schedules, as it is a student job.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
