I have been working at Mississippi Baptist Health Systems full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Truly care about you, comparable pay, clean environment

    Cons

Requires dedication and commitment to the field of health but expect you to work long hours away from your family. No room for illnesses.

I worked at Mississippi Baptist Health Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Its a hospital environment, you get the inherent bonus of working in a hospital.

    Cons

As a salary employee, I was expected to work as many as 70 hours during a week on a multimonth project. I was not compensated with any kind of comp time or additional time off, as I was expected to be there.
Leadership in the department I worked in was non existent, and when I was a new employee I was placed in a cubical and told to go to work with no training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At least develop a training program and make sure all departments are using it---even the non-clinical areas. My immediate supervisor was so over her head, I was not even orientated to use the voicemail. I am glad to have moved on to another healthcare organization with clear defined goals and leadership to excel.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
