I have been working at Mississippi State University part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The CAVS center offers students the opportunity to work in a hands-on environment in which they are exposed to many processed used in the engineering field. Students are able to acquire on the job training on various pieces of equipment in a safe and orderly manner. Students may work on their schedule so the flexibility is extremely apparent.

    Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to get in training time due to the fact that there are relatively few full time CAVS employees who train students. Many of these employees are also students, so that can make scheduling your training a little difficult. Other than that, this is an excellent facility.

    Pros

Very interesting technial work. People love their football team. Huge office space. Lovely campus. If you work on site, very relaxed atmosphere. Work envionment on-site very easy going, long lunches, flexible work schedule. Many people allowed to work from home on Fridays.
