    Pros

Orlando is a pleasant place to live and the competition (Siemens) is here too. A good office for the political climber with loose ethics and little talent.

    Cons

Qualifications, integrity and success are feared by less qualified, unaccomplished, organization climbers. Human Resources violates their own written employee policies to save their own employment. All the best being separated and back-filled with less experience, capable cronies. Heard of multiple wrongful termination legal actions against them.

    Advice to Management

I certainly hope your undisclosed REAL goals from the Japanese parent company are not those marketed to the employees, else the Mitsubishi Heavy+Pratt & Whitney+Hitachi merger looks like the Hudson+Packard+Nash+Studebaker=American Motors fiasco.

    Pros

Their pay is comparable to the industry and they have a real good benefits package. As a field service employee a real good perk is that they pay 40 hours when you are home.

    Cons

Sometimes management does not seem to care what their employees think and they give very little notice about when you are going on a job even a job that has been on the schedule for weeks or months.

    Advice to Management

We are not children treat us like adults and we will probably act like adults. We understand that nothing is written in stone and that everything is subject to change but it would be nice to have an idea of where and when you may be traveling to next. Keep up the good job with the benefits.

    Pros

Great co-workers, a good sense of "pride in craftsmanship", good benefits, and a decent wage for skilled positions.

    Cons

Micro-management to the point of incompetence, to hide a lack of skill. 1950's style of pettiness in leadership. Favoritism to cover up the afore mentioned.

    Advice to Management

Restructure..!! Stop hiding your incompetence behind the backs of your skilled labor. The Japanese must see this..!!?? We will never reach our true potential this way.!

    Pros

    Good pay for managers
Lake Mary is an awesome location to work with, avoid any of the branches that are affiliated with Newport Beach like the plague.

    Cons

You will not head up a department, you'll always report to Japanese department heads.
Regardless of your knowledge or skills it will not be utilized unless it comes from the Japanese.
Japanese talk and treat you like your stupid.
Japanese do not fix problem Japanese employees, they just move them to another department.
You wonder around aimlessly because more that likely your boss does not have a clue in what he's doing.
No goals established, reviews are a complete joke, with absolutely no meaning to them.

    Advice to Management

Do not put somebody to head up a department just because the are Japanese especially when they do not know anything about that role. There is tons of experts right under their nose but they don't want to hear that because Americans are stupid. Move into the current century of business, I have actually went back 10 years in my knowledge to function with MHI Wind. Get a discipline structure so managers have tools to manage.
