I worked at Mitsui full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The benefits were very good, and it is a challenging environment. You must be able to juggle traditional Japanese values and American business etiquette. The workers are all very nice people, and it's generally a pleasant environment to work.

    Cons

The company is a huge conglomerate, so there is a fair amount of redundancies and redundant roles. That being said, if you are looking for lifetime employment in the traditional Japanese way, this is a great company for that.
