    Pros

Prestigious brands and world class marketing make this a great company you would be proud to represent. LVMH is the world leader in luxury brands.

    Cons

Having worked for other large adult beverage companies, the challenges are different here being a French run company. the marketing structure of separate "maisons" for each brand does make you often feel like you are reporting to several smaller companies within the whole, often with conflicting priorities that make the day to day work more difficult. The politics are often discouraging as well for career advancement as being French is an unspoken edge, that sees many good local talent become frustrated and increases turnover of good people, unfortunately. Company does run "lean" from a head count perspective, so the lazy need not apply.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More hiring of good industry talent , versus priority in recruitment of Ivy League MBA's and cross functional promotion from other parts of LVMH. Promoting from within being a priority to increase retention of good talent.

If you're willing to do the work of two maybe three people at the cost of one...this is the place for you.

    Pros

    Great Celebrations, Events, Product samples.

    Cons

Very lean company, work is piled on you. Lack of training, lack of communication between the different departments. Very segmented company. Vendors have been unhappy with late payments due to lack of headcount to process invoices adequately.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people! Promote from within.

Good until certain management was hired.

    Pros

Met good people and learnt allot from them. All got to learn a new system SAP which I never worked on before.

    Cons

Arrogant management, egos, no growth potential, human resources department not very positive. Brands are segregated so it's almost like several companies within one so it's confusing place to work at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Loose the egos and trusts the employees under you who do all the real work.

    little opportunity for career advancement
extremely political - often French employees are randomly given high level positions because they know someone key, higher up

Former Employee - Trade Development Manager

    Pros

Very high-end, well received luxury brands. Supported by LVMH parent company. Lots of opportunities for growth, Marketing and Sales side make it an unusual Supplier job. The company as a whole was very good at sharing sales information with the teams and distributors to further their goals.

    Cons

Each brand is in it's own "Maison" so marketing and sales sometimes feel as if you are working for many different people and small companies within one large unit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More training and better entrance programs for new hires. There was no new hire program until 2012. It wasn't very effective.
The company has a lot of people working there that have been there for many years and very set in their ways. The upper management should check in on lower level sales and marketing to make sure they are happy without the intimidation of the President knowing everything that everyone does. HR was not very professional.

    Pros

The internship program is very structured with interns joining from top schools in the country. It helped me to learn how to work in a high profile environment like that of Moet's. Interacting with different teams builds your communication and creates an effective route for future job search. After work parties were amazing and you get to taste all the premium spirits from Moet.

    Cons

The office space is too small and its slightly overcrowded.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Internship could have been extended beyond summer

    Pros

Great brands and for the most part great people

    Cons

Lack of planning and time lines between departments to bring projects to completion by a specific target date. Departments working independantly of each other with lack of collaboration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to set specific time lines for planning by brand as well as project completion dates and hold all stakeholders accountable.

Former Employee - Finance in New York, NY

    Pros

Good Salary and beautiful portfolio of products

    Cons

Terrible place to work. Sweat Shop mentality. Extremely high turnover - in one year 122 out of 240 employees either quit or were let go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

High turnover leads to low moral and short term wins. LVMH should sell and stick with the fashion companies. Experienced Spirits & Wine employees should be cautious about excepting a position here. I have sceen employees leave really good positions for an opportunity at Moet and be let go with in 3 months of being hired.

Former Employee - Financial Analyst in New York, NY

    Pros

It's an exciting industry that anyone can relate to, and it's interesting to learn about brand management and distribution regulations. Product allotment and access to employee sales hosted by other LVMH subsidiary groups (ex. TAG Heuer, Christian Dior, etc.) are perks.

    Cons

It's a young company still struggling to establish a solid employee base. Employee turnover is high and morale is low. Much of the senior management in the company is fairly new or has attained their position through length, not quality of service.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A team based environment across regions seems necessary to do well in this industry, yet the different regions and groups are separated and not necessarily discouraged, but also not encouraged to work together.
