If you're willing to do the work of two maybe three people at the cost of one...this is the place for you.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

    ProsGreat Celebrations, Events, Product samples.

ConsVery lean company, work is piled on you. Lack of training, lack of communication between the different departments. Very segmented company. Vendors have been unhappy with late payments due to lack of headcount to process invoices adequately.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire more people! Promote from within.

Good until certain management was hired.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsMet good people and learnt allot from them. All got to learn a new system SAP which I never worked on before.

ConsArrogant management, egos, no growth potential, human resources department not very positive. Brands are segregated so it's almost like several companies within one so it's confusing place to work at times.

Advice to Senior ManagementLoose the egos and trusts the employees under you who do all the real work.

    A highly political, competitive environment

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsRepresent outstanding products from a variety of segments

Consvery lean organization, expected to work long hours (difficult to have family life)
    little opportunity for career advancement
extremely political - often French employees are randomly given high level positions because they know someone key, higher up

Advice to Senior Managementfocus on career advancement, promote based on skill set

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    Super Luxury Company

    Trade Development Manager (Former Employee)

ProsVery high-end, well received luxury brands. Supported by LVMH parent company. Lots of opportunities for growth, Marketing and Sales side make it an unusual Supplier job. The company as a whole was very good at sharing sales information with the teams and distributors to further their goals.

ConsEach brand is in it's own "Maison" so marketing and sales sometimes feel as if you are working for many different people and small companies within one large unit.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore training and better entrance programs for new hires. There was no new hire program until 2012. It wasn't very effective.
The company has a lot of people working there that have been there for many years and very set in their ways. The upper management should check in on lower level sales and marketing to make sure they are happy without the intimidation of the President knowing everything that everyone does. HR was not very professional.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

A fun filled internship with a wealth of knowledge earned

    Summer Intern (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsThe internship program is very structured with interns joining from top schools in the country. It helped me to learn how to work in a high profile environment like that of Moet's. Interacting with different teams builds your communication and creates an effective route for future job search. After work parties were amazing and you get to taste all the premium spirits from Moet.

ConsThe office space is too small and its slightly overcrowded.

Advice to Senior ManagementInternship could have been extended beyond summer

    Sales and Marketing

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsGreat brands and for the most part great people

ConsLack of planning and time lines between departments to bring projects to completion by a specific target date. Departments working independantly of each other with lack of collaboration.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to set specific time lines for planning by brand as well as project completion dates and hold all stakeholders accountable.

    Completely Dissapointed

    Finance (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsGood Salary and beautiful portfolio of products

ConsTerrible place to work. Sweat Shop mentality. Extremely high turnover - in one year 122 out of 240 employees either quit or were let go.

Advice to Senior ManagementHigh turnover leads to low moral and short term wins. LVMH should sell and stick with the fashion companies. Experienced Spirits & Wine employees should be cautious about excepting a position here. I have sceen employees leave really good positions for an opportunity at Moet and be let go with in 3 months of being hired.

Exciting industry, fun parties and free booze.

    Financial Analyst (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsIt's an exciting industry that anyone can relate to, and it's interesting to learn about brand management and distribution regulations. Product allotment and access to employee sales hosted by other LVMH subsidiary groups (ex. TAG Heuer, Christian Dior, etc.) are perks.

ConsIt's a young company still struggling to establish a solid employee base. Employee turnover is high and morale is low. Much of the senior management in the company is fairly new or has attained their position through length, not quality of service.

Advice to Senior ManagementA team based environment across regions seems necessary to do well in this industry, yet the different regions and groups are separated and not necessarily discouraged, but also not encouraged to work together.

You gotta try harder to become a preferred employer

    National Accounts (Former Employee)

ProsSome cool people, great brands, established company, brand equity, profitable portfolio...but that's not enough

ConsLack of leadership from top management
    Human resource disconnect...they are clueless
often top managers bring their teams from last place of employment
little or no chance of promotion from within

Advice to Senior ManagementRecognize talent and reward results. You're in sales and in the business of making money. Thus your company should be performance driven and not run by politics. Last I checked your offices were in NYC and not DC.
