I worked at MobileOne full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Fun and vibrant working environment. Great colleagues.

Perfect place for one who's intending to just cruise through for the rest of their career.

Employee benefits are very good, so this covers the drawback of below market salary.

    Cons

Management lack the drive and vision to stand up to competition. Lacking a strong development team to innovate like during the early years of M1.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A sleeping giant. There are some 'clots' that needs a major shake-up to clear. Time to wake up and stop living in the glory & success of yesteryears.

    I worked at MobileOne

    Pros

Many staffs stayed for long period of time. Management and benefits are good

    Cons

I just dont like giving my complete name given to the customer which is required by the management specially in customer service. Some of my friends in billing hotline received threats from customers. Hopefully there will be a chance not to give the complete name when being asked by customer for staffs protection specially those working in hotline.

    Pros

Friendly colleagues and culture that help drives the organisation's image and customer service mindset.
Good worklife balance, seldom need for overtime / weekend duties.

    Cons

Progression and salary bench marking are on the Average-Low side. if you are someone looking for a ok paying job that allows you time for your family, you can consider.

I have been working at MobileOne full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

For up to senior manger level, one will still enjoy good work-life balance.
Friendly environment to work and learn in.

    Cons

Unless someone high up likes you, your promotion could be slow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should treat the annual appraisal more seriously. Using the appraisal grades to determine variable bonus payout and annual increment would be the fairest tool

I have been working at MobileOne full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Work life balance. No OT is needed and there is company transport bus from most mrt stations to m1 office. Just need to pay 40 dollars a month. Turnover rate is quite low, but of course depending on which department and boss as well. Work stress is minimal. Benefits are comparable though not the most fantastic in the industry.

    Cons

Pay is not really up to market rate, depending on how you negotiate though. Yearly increment is also pathetic, less than 5 percent mostly.

    Colleagues are friendly and nice
    Little office politics

    Cons

Basic pay is way below market rate
Increment is little, usually even below inflation rate
Bonus is only average, despite a poor basic pay
    Office is kind of old
PCs instead of laptops are used

    Pros

Fun environment. It's like one big happy family. A lot of welfare programs and teambuilding activities. Have flexible benefits and yearly staff voucher for handset purchase.

    Cons

For retail positions, no work-life balance. Very long working hours. New shop concept makes us stand the whole day. No room for career advancement. Salary package is below competitor's.

I have been working at MobileOne full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

A place suited for employees who strive to leave on time- a very relaxing environment. Great culture, and good and well-meaning colleagues.

    Cons

Salary is way below market rate, company is always haphazardly trying to cope with competitors, lack of innovation, lack of training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If the salary is pegged to the work-life balance, then it's probably fair. However, if the company wants to grow, they should pay more to retain and hire talent.
