    Pros

-Fun environment with great people to work with.
-Defined Territory, you aren't calling all around the country.
-Great environment to learn and grow especially as a younger salesperson.
    -Reasonable call and performance metrics.
-Plenty of support from sales managers who care and want to help you succeed.
    -Solid base salary.
    -very nice office.
-It was truly a pleasure to work here, great people!

    Cons

-Your numbers are contingent upon the health of your territory to a degree.
-Too many cumbersome software systems which can bog down a salesperson and slow down progress.
-Putting together a quote for a customer should become more streamlined process.
-The commission structure and benefits could be improved upon.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The benefits need improvement, the Healthcare plan as well as the commission structure are not this company's strong suit.

    Pros

Nothing is good about this company

Hands down the worst company I ever worked for!

    I worked at Modspace

    Pros

It paid my bills for the time being

    Cons

The atmosphere was like working with a bunch of high school students. Managers that get paid too much money to make bad decisions and have other employees fix their mistakes. No raises, no incentives and no room for growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees like human beings. Also stop ignoring your good employees and favoring a the ones that don't work

Positive personal experience, but management is weak, lacks courage to make hard decisions.

    Pros

I do think Charles Paquin cares about employees. Employees upset about health insurance changes but they have no reference point but a rich former GE plan that the company couldn't afford. That change was a good responsible decision. Overwhelming percent of managers here are hard working. Unfortunate there was an exec who took $1 mill over 4 yr but that is not reason this company is troubled.

    Cons

They haven't addressed controls that allowed the theft they had. No changes in leadership in finance or in Accts payable management. They spent a fortune on a new system and it had many more growing pains than it should have. No accountability.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have some key managers who are killing morale and engagement. Make some decisions.

    Pros

It's a pay check. Not much more good other than it's close to the mall.

    Cons

I have never worked for a company who had terrible communication and nobody takes responsibility for their actions. There is supposed to be team work but 99% of the employees don't know how to do their job, don't care to learn their job, and wants somebody else to do it for them. There is so much smile in your face then talk behind your back (especially from management). It's a giant high school and the benefits are horrible

    Smoke & Mirrors

    I worked at Modspace full-time

    Pros

Nice office building, convenient location, decent training when it's consistent.

    Cons

Where to begin....If you work here as a sales rep you are viewed as merely a money making machine for upper management. Sales in the construction industry will never be consistently on an upswing but reps are expected to churn out stellar performances no matter what the economic conditions are - pretty unrealistic. Rather than wasting enormous amounts of money on fly by the seat of your pants marketing campaign schemes that seem to be pet favorites/personal hobbies of upper management, why not invest in some solid back office systems so sales are not bogged down with paperwork and admin tasks that take up large chunks of time? Or better yet ask the sales team what they think will work to increase sales. Get rid of all the outdated paperwork & cumbersome software systems. All of this would free up funds to invest in the fleet which needs some serious refurbishment. Solutions to the companies woes seem obvious to everyone except upper management. Layoffs where good employees have been treated poorly by withholding commissions & bonuses is just tacky and unethical and would be basically unnecessary if management fostered a solid long term plan for the company instead of knee-jerk reactions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe a stint on Undercover Boss might be helpful so Management can really see what's happening on the front lines of the company instead of viewing conditions on paper. Stop the micromanaging which is a waste of time and effort and breeds poor morale. Offer more affordable health care benefits. Pay attention to what is going on right under your noses!
