I worked at Moe's Southwest Grill

    Pros

Flexible schedule, I basically chose my own hours. Free food whole working. Fun envionment.

    Cons

Usually had to work most nights and weekends if I did not request them off.

    Advice to Management

Try to make sure management is consistant. I saw every type of management including the best managers I have ever seen and also some pretty bad ones that did not care about their job.

    I worked at Moe's Southwest Grill full-time

    Pros

They never cared if I came in late or at all really,so, I guess you could that they were flexible. They hired very optimistic and hardworking people so the atmosphere was always awesome. The food was also awesome.

    Cons

They were not very organized and much of the work was very rushed and not regulated correctly most of the time, which resulted in uncooked food sometimes. The store managers were not very firm with employees or with adamant on enforcing company rules. They also never scheduled enough workers for the mid-day and evening shifts.

    Advice to Management

Please attempt to hire very responsible, firm, and organized store managers. I also feel like the rules should be looked over and amended.

  3. Overall great company. Too many hours involved. If you want to surpass everyone else, you need to put in the hours.

    Pros

Great boss. Great people. Very friendly coworkers. You can build your team. Free food. Good bonuses, if your goals are met.

    Cons

Hours suck. Not ideal for a parent. Salary doesn't add up to the hours you put in. Depends on your DM.

    Advice to Management

require 50-55 hours a week......thats ridiculous. No one can run a business without being burnt out if thats whats AVERAGED weekly. Especially since they require you to be on the line 90% of the time

    Pros

Easy work, Management works around you schedule. Can use Moes food to trade with other restaurants.

    Cons

Shifts can be very busy, fellow employees can be awful, corporate is awful to their employees, customers think you're a good for nothing burrito roller.

    Advice to Management

Hire competent employees for the love of God!

    Pros

I asked for additional hours and responsibilities, and they gave it to me. I worked like "two people," and I was promoted fast.

    Cons

At the time, there were no assistant managers. Basically, I was the assistant manager. If that's the case, I should be compensated above the average.

    Advice to Management

Study the store traffic and schedule employees accordingly to avoid slow service during peak times and excessive labor cost during slow times.

    Pros

Managers and co-workers felt more like friends.
Customers expected a fun environment which allowed us to be more outgoing and friendly.

    Cons

Cashiers expected to do more work than kitchen, line, and managers.

    Advice to Management

Help out if short-handed or slammed.

I have been working at Moe's Southwest Grill

    Pros

Walk in type of hiring for new employees. Probably more geared towards high school students, although adults without degrees work there too.

    Cons

Competitors with Chipotle. And their food is not organic. Luckily clean facilities. The schedule is hard to get on if you aren't friends with management

    Advice to Management

You want to start putting lower people on the schedules. And maybe adding a better guacamole to the menu. The soda machine is great and the carvel station doesn't really bring much attention

    Pros

Everyone was friendly, as far as easy jobs go this was the easiest. Owner and GMs were really friendly and helpful. My favorite job ever.

    Cons

Hourly pay sucked. If I would've gotten better hourly wages I never would've left!

    Advice to Management

    Pay employees better!
