    Pros

Large company with growth opportunities if you're willing to put in the extra effort. Successful company with stability.

    Cons

Wear multiple hats and doing multiple jobs, but not compensated properly. Benefits and Vacation Policy is antiquated and needs to be updated to stay competitive.

Give this job some help because it is to much for one person

    Pros

Company has a strong market position that allows it to succeed and continue to grow through acquisition.

    Cons

Bureaucratic nightmare to drive improvement and change. A "the way we've always done it", "don't rock the boat" attitude throughout management. Growth path based on seniority.

Management has gone crazy preying for the people who are still there

    Advice to Management

Motivation and intimidation are two entirely different things you reap what you sow

I have been working at Mohawk Industries (More than 8 years)

    Pros

401k, shift schedule good balance of empioyees

    Cons

insurance, lack of promotions, every promotion on the buddy system , employee recently promoted to maintenance supervisor , was incompetent in productions, yet he had an old plant manager buddy made sure he was taken care of this guy wouldn't know a open end from a box end wrench . job opening was never posted , only upper management makes a decent salary, lower line management are treated like Asian pigs place one on bottom of pen and one on top of pen, we on bottom just get the scraps and waste from the top pens, yet the CEO makes over 16 million with his package

    Advice to Management

Compensate your floor employees for all their hard work, without them their is no Mohawk, You talk a GOOD GAME BUT IT'S TIME YOU WALK THE WALK, If you want to be the best treat your employee's like they are the beat

    Pros

Not having to deal with management as I worked the 3rd shift.

Worthless lazy employees who stand around all day and let you do all the work.

I worked at Mohawk Industries full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers. Always willing to help others with superb teamwork.

    Cons

Long 12 hour shift with little or no opportunity for any breaks.

    Advice to Management

Aging equipment that continues to break down can only be fixed for short periods of time. Employees that hustle all shift long to get production really need some incentives.

    Pros

Most hourly employees are friendly and work well together.

    Cons

Management wants things done a certain way and in a certain amount of time...that's impossible to do sometimes...they have no idea whats going on on the floor because all they do is sit at a computer all day..employees should have a say in how duties are performed.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees....chances are they more about how to make the job more efficient than you...book smarts doesn't equal common sense.
