I have been working at Molina Healthcare

    Pros

Molina is at the forefrunt with providing healthcare services to families on state government sponsored medical plans (Medicaid, Medicare)

    Cons

A lot of growing pains, lacking in structure, lacking in leadership and poor management skills. On the flip side, lots of challenges and continued opportunities for self-growth and development -

    Advice to Management

Drop the fingerpointing and seek to develop your management & those in leadership roles.

    Pros

There are some really great people that work here and want to make a difference.

    Cons

Management is out of control. They don't value real talent and hard work. The expectations are unrealistic giving you unrealistic goals and setting employees up for failure.

    Advice to Management

Put yourself in check and appreciate and value the hard work your team is giving you This is not prison so quit treating your staff like it is. If you want to be a warden, go work for the prison system.

    Pros

Wonderful American-success-story of Hispanic-American physician caring enough about under serviced, low-income people to devise ways to help them gain quicker access to needed healthcare by navigating Medicaid-&-Medicare's bureaucratic processes.

    Cons

Molina uses American tax dollars sponsoring unethical BPO vendors from abroad. These H-1B vendors "adversely affect the working conditions of American and US Veteran workers similarly employed."

The foreign BPOs Molina Healthcare uses target key U.S. roles in companies and then deliberately lie about employees skills, knowledge, competence, and contributions to organizations in order to unethically-secure American companies; such as Molina Healthcare contracts. Yet, the BPOs are in-fact the one's lacking skills and effective communications. Moreover, BPOs at Molina frequently plagiarize The Companies employees by sending out employees work-product as their own; outsource-vendors just put their BPO company logo on legitimate U.S. employees drafts and BPOs take the credit.

    Advice to Management

Recognize these BPO's only want U.S. Dollars and attempt to send (outsource) U.S. work abroad (off-shore) AND stop your outsource practices. The multi-million dollar contracts Molina has with these foreign vendors is a waste of company and tax-pay dollars. American Employees, Tax-Payers, United States Military Veterans deserve better!

    Pros

Pay is decent and that is all.

    Cons

You have to be in the leadership click or at least they need to like you or your doomed. Very unexperienced leadership when it comes to managing a team. No involvement with employees unless they like you. Gossip Gossip Gossip. No training they just throw you in there. They hire you for one position and put you in another one which a kid can do. Once again if you are not part of the leadership click then you will get nothing and go nowhere in this company.

    Advice to Management

Figure out a different leadership team because the one you have is useless. The Molinas need to really take a look at what is really going on and do something quick because you talk about members are the # 1 priority, well look at the type of people that are your members. Leadership is more concerned about numbers vs. helping people who need help and they wonder why people are going to other health plans. This is why it should not be about how many members are dis enrolling first figure out a way to keep them. Hold their hand not hurry them off the phone. Take a look at your leadership Dr. Molina. To many physicians want to cancel contract with Molina, I wonder why. Step it up a bit. No bonus this year I wonder why.
