    Pros

Company has a good mission statement and upper level management tries to live by it. Some departments are better ran than others.

    Cons

Company cares more about people being in seats, than their employees well being.

    Advice to Management

Start holding management accountable or stop claiming employees are like extended family, unless you treat your actual family badly.

I worked at Molina Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Insurance premiums are very reasonable

    Cons

Leadership in Case Management area is unsupportive and they are unaware of day to day challenges. Poor performance by some employees goes without any repercussions while others are heavily scrutinized. Inflexible with ideas on how to improve. Leadership likes to dictate how things should be done but do not lead or practice what they preach. Local leadership demand more and more and do not value you. Too much rude behavior is acceptable in the local office and change is driven from corporate office down to local office without consideration of whether it will work or not-WAY too many changes and inconsistencies.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to value your employees. Lead by really caring about what your staff tell you and listen to them Overall company mission is not what you preach. Evaluate corporate decisions to see if they will work for your branch-cookie cutter applications do not always work. Remember that if you say bad things about your staff behind their backs, it has a way of getting back to them!

    Pros

There is no shortage of work. Benefits and pay are great. Employee stock purchase plan is well worth contributing the maximum amount.

    Cons

Processes are not defined and documentation is not made a priority. Most projects go straight into implementation with out proper planning.

    Advice to Management

We need to get out of the mom and pop mindset are start thinking like the Forture 300 company that we are. Collaboration between departments needs to improve as each department is only concerned with their particular objectives and not the overall picture.

    Pros

Molina is at the forefrunt with providing healthcare services to families on state government sponsored medical plans (Medicaid, Medicare)

    Cons

A lot of growing pains, lacking in structure, lacking in leadership and poor management skills. On the flip side, lots of challenges and continued opportunities for self-growth and development -

    Advice to Management

Drop the fingerpointing and seek to develop your management & those in leadership roles.

    Pros

The pay was good and it was in downtown Long Beach close to Farmers Market and freeway accessible.

    Cons

From day one the company looked like it had just moved in. The compny was extremely disorganized and from the top executive down to management in this department. Management always seemed threatened by anyone new brought in and there were few happy employees on a daily basis. There was no open door policy to sharing ideas or a better way to work.

    Advice to Management

Clean house from the top down and start with new innovative and professional management.
