I worked at Molson Coors Canada full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Molson Coors has survived the last 151 years and they'll be around a lot longer! They have some great brands in their portfolio (Canadian, Coors Light, Rickard's...). The perks (beer coupons) are sweet too.

    Cons

Molson Coors Canada is going through tough times the last few years with the alcohol market evolving. It used to be a few key players, but now increased competition (from craft beers, wine growth and even spirits) is making the old status-quo marketing and their innovation speed obsolete. MCC has not kept pace and they're feeling it. Massive lay-offs occurred in 2013 and 2014, resulting in left over staff with low morale. It will take some time for them to get their groove back.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do more to raise the morale of your existing employees. Meeting for a quarterly financial review with a beer is insufficient. Try creating "thirsty thursday" and it only works if senior mgmt actually shows up and has fun themselves. Be a leader! Lead by example.

    Pros

Great people.... Working in a vibrant industry

    Cons

My feeling is that people don't care as they did.. It always felt like it was an hierarchical and political environment which seemed to manifest itself in everybody looking out for the backstabber around every corner.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more inclusive. Try and move away from a perceived them and us culture. People express fear of job loss so often that many just keep their heads down and become invisible. As leaders you don't have to be liked but you do have to be respected.. To do that people want you to be more visible.. This should start the new CEO, who it feels like is just passing through on route to the next job versus Dave Perkins who appeared to care so much more about a great Canadian business and the people within it

    Pros

Good pay and complimentary beer. Fellow employees (not management) are generally very friendly and welcoming, as well as helpful regarding any concerns or confusion.

    Cons

Management is terrible. There is a lack of consistency and communication across managers and they do not listen to the concerns and suggestions of people beneath them.

I worked at Molson Coors Canada full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you enjoy working in a very social, fast paced environment you'll enjoy working at Molson. Some of the pros include free beer, access to events, people are passionate about the brands they work on, strong senior management team and decent compensation.

    Cons

During my time outside training was limited with the expectation from senior leadership that on the job training would be suffice.

I worked at Molson Coors Canada full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Some of the greatest people you could work with have graced the halls of Molson Coors. Plenty of seasoned beer people. Great people, products, training, events and culture.

    Cons

Straight talk is encourage but not acted upon. Long time brands are struggling to remain relevant in a mature beer market where choice is plentiful. Times are changing in the Beer industry. Difficult to keep up with ABI.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People are you number one asset.

I have been working at Molson Coors Canada full-time

    Pros

Competative salary, decent benefit program, strong innovation agenda, room for growth in the GTA, mobility a plus and rewarded, Canadian is doing strong work.

    Cons

Culture is tense for a beer company, industry is mature and competitors are growing causing constant share depletion which leads to stressfull work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase transparancy and clarity of long term vision, difficult to trust the company under current leadership.

I worked at Molson Coors Canada full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Interesting work - who doesn't love beer? Once you get over the very intimidating tray in hand and no place to sit cafeteria lunches you'll be sure to make some life long friends. Pay and benefits are good, not great. Generally 9-5. Beer vouchers are a gem!

    Cons

Poor talent management - brown nosers are the first to succeed, star players are the first to jump ship. Most brands are in need of a serious makeover - the organization is suffering. Constant restructuring creating an environment of uncertainty. Innovation is questionable

    Pros

Free beer, daily free lunch, social, casual, summer hours and fun. Great for young professionals.

    Cons

Traffic. Driving there and going home could be a nightmare due to the traffic.
Might not be a fit for everyone. You need to love beer, jokes and are social to be a fit.
