Advice to Senior Management
listen to your underlings. You were once them! Be proactive in recognising achievements and aware that not everyone shows off their successes
Pros
if you are an established reseracher go for it.
Cons
if you are an early career reseracher and/or a woman forget it.
Advice to Senior Management
none.
Pros
Despite being a large multi-campus university, there is still collaboration between groups (and across campuses).
Cons
Administration can sometimes be weak - my first sallary was two weeks late, but after that initial hiccup things were fine.
Advice to Senior Management
Pass more administrative responsibilities to individual departments - the centralized model can be unwieldy and slow at times.
