    Pros

    Great Technology
Opportunity to work with the best analog products in the industry
    Flexible Hours

    Cons

    Greedy Management
    CEO shows lack of vision
    Bad managers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to stop being so greedy and allow people to move up the corporate ladder. The executives are very overpaid here. Most executives in a $250M company make about 30% what these guys make.

I worked at Monolithic Power Systems as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

it's a small company, so you get close relationship with co-workers.

    Cons

However it's sometimes lack of support from the others. They are sometimes too busy doing their own work, and many of the workers in failure analysis department are from China coming here for a short term training.

    Pros

Good stock performance, good basket indoor gym

    Cons

HR is the worst, there is no communication inside of company. Maybe top level management feel all people working here are too expansive comparing with new graduate from secondary university from China. So better quit yourself, before they move headquarter to China.

Former Employee - Applications Engineer in San Jose, CA

I worked at Monolithic Power Systems

    Pros

Company has designed good products. has good device engineering and process for portable applications. good chance to win more markets if product definitions are allowed by applications and marketing. The design engineers are very good.

    Cons

As a engineer you will have to work hard to get a promotion. Designers are in charge of products and not many applications engineers are able to define new product lines. Some products take a long time to get to customers for sampling. They will not spend a lot of money on new equipment or CAD. lots of new engineers are hired in China

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should spend some money on new lab equipment and hire more junior applications engineers in US. promote good engineers to become managers or allow them to define new products

    Pros

They have an interesting process. You will learn what NOT to do.

    Cons

MPS management is very erratic and unpredictable. Priorities change daily. They have no long term vision. This is a typical Chinese company when it comes to quality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize that there are good ideas besides your own. Start some strategic planing.
