    Pros

    - Total empowerment over great responsibilities from day one. - Takes great care of employees, not just in terms of wages, but in work-life balance. - Very high growth opportunities within the company, either between departments or world areas.

    Cons

    - Company's Government and Public Affairs, particularly its interference in countries' National Food Policies, makes you ethically doubt your personal mission of "feeding the world".

    Advice to Management

    - Great people Management; nothing I can add on that. - Company's growth strategy has to shift towards profitability within a frame of environmental sustainability. The past has already begun to slash back.

    Pros

Good follow up on career, if you care for it. Objective reviews, sometimes harsh, in a positive way. Good advancement opportunities.

    Cons

You have to fend for yourself, no one takes your hand. Sometimes poor inter department communication.

    Pros

Great benefits and wonderful coworkers. It is wonderful that Monsanto provides 13 holidays in addition to employee vacation days.

    Cons

Core to their leadership competencies is "influencing"; in reality, this plays out as highly political. When being considered for new roles in the company, it's about how many people like you, who you are friends with and if you are one the few "high potential".

    Pros

Monsanto is a great company to work for. It has allowed me to experience international business from the start of my career.

    Cons

Being a contract employee you aren't as informed as a full time employee. Also some trainings aren't available to contractors.

    Pros

People are committed to creating food to support 10 billion people by 2050

    Cons

Data systems were difficult to negotiate. Everyone understands their role, but difficult to find anyone who can give an overview of company function. On boarding new employees is not a priority.

    Advice to Management

Make sure new hires are onboarded with enough knowledge. Assign a mentor to help follow up with new hires.
