Pros
Nice office. Well known company. I really can't think of anything else that would be consider a pro to work there.
Cons
Did not like the management, the pay, or the product offering. Everyone with talent left to work for Linkedin, now they have a clause for new employees that they can't leave to work at Linkedin.
Advice to Senior Management
I would have sales managers manage and sell. Its a waste to have sales managers spend all their time micromanaging.
Pros
A few good people still there. Market-based comp and benefits.
Cons
Senior management (including marketing leadership) not focused on most critical strategic priorities. Culture of fear and CYA. Does not walk the talk of values and best HR practices. Leadership insulated from (or ignore) realities that drive success.
Advice to Senior Management
Fix "cons" listed in this review. Will require substantial leadership changes.
Pros
Globally Recognized Brand
Industry Leader in Online Recruiting
Generous Expense Accounts
Lots of Travel Opportunities
High Level of Autonomy
Cons
Compensation well below market
Lots of internal fighting for visibility & resources
High turnover rate/no internal mobility
Lack of resources
Advice to Senior Management
The turnover and low morale/engagement impact the only thing management cares about: stock price. Show you care about workers, too.
Pros
employed, employed, flexible, benefits, thats it
Cons
management, do not interact with full staff
Advice to Senior Management
stop taking things personal & get involved
Pros
Great work / life balance. Pay is average. Great culture and can be enjoyable at times.
Cons
The company is suffering from a dismal stock price ($7.00 at the time of this review). Sr. Management is doing what many publicly traded companies are doing, laying off good people. This is simply a short sighted strategy. Little to no opportunities for advancement (depending on your role). Very little communication between management and employees. Medical benefits are the worst I have ever had. This probably once was a great company to work for, not so much anymore. Little support from management for new ideas.
Advice to Senior Management
More communication with employees.
Pros
Great People, decent benefits, casual work environment.
Cons
Poor product, senior management out of touch with the industry. Lots of haggling between departments for power.
Advice to Senior Management
Fix the product and the brand.
Pros
Home office environment, good benefits.
Cons
Spreadsheet managers, no leaders right now. That changed in the last year.
Pros
Ambitious and bold for people who want to push great ideas.
Cons
Disconnected departments and bureaucracy keeps increasing and inhibiting growth.
Advice to Senior Management
Look how to reduce bureacuracy and empower people to get more productivity out.
Pros
Good balance
Decent benefits
Ok pay
Good brand rec.
Cons
Stupidly high quotas - feel like you are being set up to fail
Incompetent managers
Fear based
No career growth opp unless you are in the 'club'
No job security. You always feel like you can be laid off at any time
Lots of bs from management
Advice to Senior Management
New CEO!
Pros
Benefits, PTO, and 401K are good
Cons
All groups seem to work independently of one another
Advice to Senior Management
There should be a group that ties all departments together which would allow for open communication and progression as a whole.
