Pros
Good compensation. Advanced technical solutions.
Cons
Poor organization structure - makes simple things complex and slows down overall progress
Advice to Senior Management
When your team is appreciated and is allowed to grow, you too will.
Pros
work life flexibility is good
Cons
too many politics at this place to even begin to explain
compensation lower then may other comparable companies
Pros
Fairly flexible with taking time off
Stability
Good benefits
Cons
Too team dependent, your experience here greatly depends on what team you are on
Dying product
Filtered communications from management
Advice to Senior Management
Get everyone on the same page. Your teams aren't connected and are not encouraged to work together.
Pros
Lots to do, opportunities to learn, good people. Monster has decent upper management and I believe they are trying to do the right things. They continued innovating despite the difficult economy over the past couple of years and tried to be fair to employees.
Cons
Crazy schedules and processes made it hard to do the right thing at times
Advice to Senior Management
Work on development processes and procedures
Pros
It is very easy to get hired!
Cons
No communication! No advancement opportunities! Salary lower than other call centers in the area!
Advice to Senior Management
Get out of your offices and see what is going on in your business!
Pros
1. Good brand name
2. Some of the managers are decent
3. Lot of user data to work with, so good potential on the engineering side
4. Has granted RSUs in the past
Cons
1. Engineering executive team lacks technology vision.
2. Management exhibits a use and throw type of attitude towards employees, where they treat you well if you are working on a key project, else they will ignore you.
3. Pay hikes and bonuses are miniscule.
4. Employee Career Development is largely ignored.
Advice to Senior Management
1. Please treat the employees right - at least the productive ones.
2. Try to offer competitive salaries to keep the best employees around, and try to get some of the best talent on board.
Pros
Townhall style quarterly meetings allowed for employees to feel involved in the overall success of the company.
Cons
The location of the company makes it challenging to retain talent.
Pros
Good compensation and convenient location
Cons
Chauvinistic, predatory culture that originates from the top (CEO) down. Organization is a political nightmare where backstabbing and intimidation is a daily occurrence. Structurally, departments are constantly pitted against one another, creating a cannibalistic culture where they actively undermine each others efforts as a means of justifying their own value to the organization. Executive directives are single mindedly driven by their own self serving agendas, leaving ZERO room for creativity or innovation.
Monster is on a steady course toward self destruction. STAY as far AWAY as possible!!
Advice to Senior Management
Resign immediately
Pros
Control your own success. You can make a nice pay check if you put the work in and do all the right things.
Cons
Monster is a larghe company. Any time you work for a company that large, the smaller details sometimes can get ignored.
Advice to Senior Management
Management is fair and usually on the side their workers. Monster has a lot of credible people running its management. Most of their managers have been on the front line, so they know where their workers are coming from.
Pros
My immediate workgroup was skilled, spirited, and highly intelligent. Our immediate supervisor was very strong, but too many layers down to affect real change.
Cons
Wants to be a global juggernaut and a nimble, risk-taking start-up at the same time. has a tendency to cannibalize itself.
Advice to Senior Management
make a roadmap. stick to it. plan a budget. talk to each other. stop trying to buy your employee love
