Pros
It was a great place to work...fun while it lasted. Lots of great perks, free lunch, coffee soda. Great pay if you met your goals!
Cons
High turn over, not much training, high pressure environment. Not a place for an entry level sales position. Communication needs some improvement.
Advice to Senior Management
You should invest in your people more and work to improve communication to remote sites. Sales and service are not always on the same page and it hurts business relationships.
Pros
They are few and far between, but there are some talented, ethical professionals working for the company. If you are beginning a career in online media it might be a good place to start.
Cons
Bloated with unnecessary management roles and pervasive politics. The core-values are just a pretty picture on the lunch room wall. Widespread poaching of accounts by other reps of questional moral fiber. Manipulation of leads and account "books" by regional sales managers.
Advice to Senior Management
There are a lot of holes in that sinking ship. You may be better served to plug them up with some of your unnecessary roles and return to your entrepreneurial roots or the continued market share loss to the likes of Craigslist and Twitter will help make that decision for you.

Many opportunities to Advance, Nice office, good incentives and sales trips
Cons
Poor communication, Senior Management is all new and comes from the previous company of the CEO, incredibly poor morale, hard to believe what management says, we are losing our top spot in the competitive landscape, product innovation is lacking, opportunity to make money is going down the drain, attrition is huge, we have lost our "great atmosphere" that brought me to Monster, our location is one third the size it used to be, we lost the best Sales Leader we have ever had in January, takes too long to get anything done, they make it hard to "just sell", losing market share
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate, communicate, communicate
Pros
If you are lucky enough to receive a good territory, then you have the best chance at making a lot of money. The benefits are phenomenal.
Cons
In 2006, Monster hired many new employees for the Tempe location, but they did not have enough territory to go around. It is a call center environment and they are strict about metrics. You were assigned specific zip codes and could not work outside of those. The leads that were given to new employees were called upon SEVERAL times by other Monster employees, and that made it even more difficult to close any sales.
Advice to Senior Management
I would love for them to realize that they are not as viable as they once were, and that there are many different and BETTER job search engines out there. At least when I worked here, this was the case. It has been awhile since I left. Monster is very arrogant and still belives they are better than free job sites. I would also like to recommend that they fire whoever is in the marketing department. CareerBuilder.com has a better marketing strategy and branding than Monster.
Pros
People at the peer level are great. Love what I do in helping companies find great employees. Believe the products are the best in the industry. This helps job seekers find the best match.
Cons
Management changes every 6 - 9 months. Policies change as often. Not fair in the way the quota system is determined which compromises the compensations plan.
Advice to Senior Management
Come spend a day with your employees.
