I worked at Moog full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are good, and the ability to pursue personal growth is great if people were more aware of the option.

    Cons

Moog does not allow tele-commute, nor does it offer 4/10 with alternating days off. Moog should offer more than the 3% annual raise, considering the cost of living is very expensive in Southern California.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focusing on metrics stagnates Moog's potential growth nationally and abroad.

I worked at Moog full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Pay is excellent, working conditions are immaculate, management is very knowledgable and always willing to assist you. Their product line is Aerospace products, industrial products, and Space and Defense. They are a Fortune 500 company and growing. Health benefits are very good, 401K contributor. Highly recognized in the Aerospace Industry

    Cons

I cannot see any at this time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None at this time, they are doing just fine as an Aerospace Company

I worked at Moog as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

One of the best paying internships I could find.
Plenty of training opportunities where needed, and everyone was willing to help answer questions.
Spent a good amount of time sitting at my desk, and going out to the lab to test things and build test stands. Good balance between desk and lab work.
Discounts on local events and go-karting activities, SLCO corporate games, company picnic, etc.
    Relaxed but professional working environment.

    Cons

Everyone uses exclusively acronyms. The first couple team meetings we had I was completely lost because of all the acronyms being used. You get the hang of it though after a month or two.

    Interesting work

    I worked at Moog

    Pros

The mission statement is very nice. The people in human resources were approachable. This company is amongst the best companies I have worked for and there are few of those, unfortunately. The work was interesting and I was never bored.

    Cons

The pay was a bit low for my occupation, but I could easily understand that. It was, however, a wage I could survive on and put money in the bank with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I can't think of anything. I had a great supervisor, though, that was an expert in his field. That was helpful in learning my job.

I have been working at Moog as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Compensation was very good I felt. Also the employees were really great to work with and very friendly.

    Cons

Moog doesn't use a traditional hierarchy for management structure. Most the time employees just know what they need to do and do it. Awesome philosophy when you are an experienced engineer but, as an intern there were times I didn't know what to do or what I should be doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Check in on employee's make sure there is enough work for them and offer chances to take on more work.
