    No investment in the company

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsAbility for promotion based on performance
Unique manufacturing environment; every day s something different
Support from senior management and good feeback on performance

ConsLittle to no capital investment in the company for who knows how many years. Employees are expected to keep producing the highest quality aircraft using 50 year old equipment.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in the company. Pay based on performance, not tenure. Upgrade facilities and equipment. Look into new manufacturing proceses. Kepp up with the rest of the world.

    Shake it up!

Floor Supervisor, Service Center. (Former Employee) Kerrville, TX

Pros1. You are helping to manufacture one of the best performing aircraft in the industry.
    2. If you like to make a lot of overtime.

ConsThe culture of the company is steeped in the 1950's union type work ethic of only doing what you have to to get by, working hard to complete a mission under time and budget is frowned upon by the long term employees who will do anything to stop high performers. The attitude in the whole plant is take care of your own department and to hell with the rest of the factory. High performers are not welcome because they are viewed as a threat to the status quo. There is no attitude of team work and company pride . It's all about just doing what you have to to get it out of your area and make it someone else's problem. There is a constant attempt by department managers to make each other look bad, so they can point fingers at each other.

Advice to Senior ManagementShake up all your departments to force them out of their protective attitudes. Make them think outside of the box. The culture of the long term employees has always been that they will outlast the next owners. Mooney airplane company should be moved to a new facility and new employees should be trained and hired along with replacing all mangement and above that have been in place for 3 years or more.
