Pros
their education and training programs
Cons
salary and benefits aren't the most competitive
Advice to Senior Management
Check into what other companies are paying their employees in this industry.
Pros
Good Training
Good Experience for Entry Level
Cons
Upper Management needs to be re-trained
NO PRAISE for reaching any goal
NO BONUSES - they are impossible to reach
Corporate is rude and treats you like you are no one (except for a select few)
Micro-Manage everyone
Regional Managers sit at home and answer emails from their phones - hardly ever on site
Need to put money into their properties and stop putting band-aids on things
Stop raising rent and then blaming leasing for occupancy
Advice to Senior Management
Re-train or fire your Regionals...they are lazy. Stop treating Corporate like they are some kind of Royalty...it makes everyone else bitter and therefore unhappy employees...and believe me you have a lot.
Pros
Good benefit package. Summer Hours
Cons
Upper management prevents opportunity for promotion. They do not very often promote from within. Instead, they like to keep employees at the same level doing the same job, and hire from the outside for higher level jobs.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide a little more opportunity for internal growth
Pros
A lot of work to do, you are never bored
Many of the lower-level employees are very nice to work with
You learn about the industry
Cons
Management understaffs the offices and underpays everyone
No commissions
Many of the higher level employees are very incompetent
Management only cares about getting tenants in the door, does not invest any money in run-down properties
Overworks and underpays its staff
Advice to Senior Management
Offer commissions to Leasing Staff to provide more incentive to sell
Invest money in properties to obtain more leases
Keep the office and mainetance adequately staffed so that employees do not burn out or find better jobs elsewhere
Pros
company managed very well and training is offered and school paid for
Cons
they take over a lot of neglected properties
Advice to Senior Management
do two reviews a year
Pros
> Exposure to a diverse demography
> Being able to satisfy the housing needs of prospective residents
Cons
> Lack of motivation
> Absence of Professional
> Cronyism
> Inequity
Advice to Senior Management
Lead by example and create an atmosphere where employees don't feel that everyday at work can be their last by making frequent references to the bad economy and the wide-scale shortage of jobs
