Prestige, great benefits, good salary, numerous professional development classes available, and some really terrific people.

Long hours, old technology, lack of funding to update technology, management that does not deliver results as promised, frequent layoffs, inequitable promotion process, some very poor HR representatives.

I personally felt there was a lack of intellectual satisfaction for me. Not much challenges to take and be proud of. Did not feel I was learning enough on the job

There should be smother way of people to explore other options within the firm. Switcing teams is sometimes a tough job and not all EDs appreciate the significance. Some even deny outright

A lot of people working in the company are very hard working, care about what they do and company.

There is a lot of uncertainty about long term prospects of investment banking and it affects employees. Compensation starts trending below industry average. Some good people, with very valuable experience, left the firm in the last few years.

Dealing with corporate people or corpies, can be frustrating and taxes are high in big cities.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't listen to the Federal Reserve because Ben Bernanke has the worst track record. Also, don't underestimate inflation and the insolvency of the United States.

Integrity, full of passion. You can make friends with stuff worked in this company and others who worked in other branched locations
Cons
Hard to get improved for the local Chinese people like us. At least I think so. And it may be hard to change ur profession.
