Consnone that I can think of other than the compensation not being the highest but I was in it more for the experience than to make money

Rudderless ship a drift and horrible culture to boot

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsScale, smart fellow employees and good location in NYC

ConsPM's are unchecked and senior management has no idea how to run asset management company. Compliance, investment in IT and people, compliance, risk and culture is not in the even part of the discussion. Believe they are a boutique IM firm, but offer mediocre at best value and performance and most of business is intermediary although they lead you to believe they are institutional. goes to show how little senior management actually knows about business.

Advice to Senior ManagementOnly way to grow firm and gain necessary control is to fire PM's, hire a CIO and look for some experienced asset management leaders.

Good company to work for if you enjoy sales

    Financial Adviser Associate (Current Employee)

ProsBeautiful offices, state-of-the-art technology, and access to highly-regarded thought leaders in the industry

ConsIf you're on the sales side, there is a lot of sales pressure. You receive a low salary for the first 18 months and then your salary decreases by 30 percent. It continues to decrease until you're on straight commission. Don't expect a lot of work/life balance. New Financial Advisors are expected to work long hours six days a week.
