Pros
The firm is truly world-class and comprises the best and brightest talent in the industry. There are many skilled professionals who are ready, willing, and able to assist you in your career advancement goals. If you are aggressive, outgoing, and optimistic, you can get to know people and get yourself involved in noteworthy projects and initiatives. The benefits are also top notch - medical, dental, vision, 401(K), pension, etc...
Cons
The firm is very large so you can easily get lost in the rank and file. In addition to focusing on your work, you must make an effort to network internally and get to know people in senior management. Also, the firm is prone to volatile ups and downs due to being in the financial services industry. Therefore, the chances of being laid off are ever present.
Advice to Senior Management
Open communication and a sense of ownership are key to boosting morale and maintaining loyalty among the workforce.
