    Pros

Great place to start and learn the business. Paid training.

    Cons

Once your business is established you are significantly better off leaving and going independent. Payouts don't only jump from 40-45% to 90%+, but there is compensation that isn't credited to your grid that makes the pay closer to 3 to 4 times more, not just double.

All the resources you have at MS is available on the independent channel and more. You have a harder time figuring out what to do than finding something at all.

    Pros

You are surrounded by intelligent people everyday who work hard very hard to achieve the best results for their clients and their team. It is truly a team environment where I found people willing to help each other out. The firm provides you with all the resources necessary to succeed!

    Cons

Long hours, but I knew that going into it. Investment banking is a client service business; and you never know when a client will call with potential work. As such, it is the nature of the business where weekends were not always free. Nonetheless, it is a great place to be.

    Pros

Great people and leadership in my complex. Everytime I ask Ireceive help from management or Senior Advisors.

    Cons

It is becoming harder and harder to hit my numbers and to stay in tier. Morgan Stanley is well suited for Financial Advisors with many years of experience and large assets under management but difficult to go from $0 to $1mm in revenue.
