I have been working at Morneau Shepell

    Pros

Great co-workers and centrally located. The environment is okay and it is convenient to the mall.

    Cons

There is no real direction set by senior leadership. They are understaffed and need help. To many hours.

    Pros

None. Can't think of any! It was not a good place to work. Maybe it was good if you had no other job opportunities and were desperate!

    Cons

They advance all of the dumbest people who do not contribute to the team but are either male or just "in" with management. Politics over quality. I saw some very talented people quit when they realized they would never get promotions after 3 years of dedicated service! I also saw males being given promotions after only 1 year while hard working, over qualified female employees got passed up! This company is run by clowns.

    Pros

decent benefits and pay. flexible hours depending on your manager. still sort of a family atmosphere.

    Cons

...familiarity breeds contempt. poorly documented system with steep learning curve means they cannot add bandwidth quickly and quality suffers as a result. too much passing the buck. internal dissension between departments and some people seem like they are there only to collect a paycheck and are not passionate about what they do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

spend the time and effort to onboard your new employees. spend the time and effort to insist on quality documentation and processes. The rating relates ONLY to the ATL.

I have been working at Morneau Shepell full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I wouldn't recommend anyone to work for Morneau Shepell. The leadership is poor. The workplace is negative. The business culture is unprofessional.

    Cons

Both personal and professional growth is limited. The training structure needs improvement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring so many unprofessional people who are NOT licensed agents to enroll people into health insurance on the 10th floor. Rehire people who are willing to work hard. Broker Services needs to be an automated service for brokers to call in for their commissions. That department was created to take up space, it's not needed because many of those temporary employees are not licensed brokers or insurance agents. Too many temporary employees in one location. The pay is a low. Employees are always coming in late for work. Both temporary and permanent employees don't know the definition of "business casual". The training program is the worst. The trainers don't know their jobs. The supervisors are unprofessional and rude. Everyone comes to work like they are going to a night club.

I have been working at Morneau Shepell full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Company culture is very positive and overall stresses collaboration and respect.
While the work/life balance can be challenging, it is all based on personal desire to grow and that meshes well with the company's values
    Leadership appears solid

    Cons

The organization can be disconnected between lines of businesses
There is definite opportunity for growth but things seem to move slowly - or maybe it is just methodically - on a personal level without much rapid transition

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay focused on growth while recognizing the need to respect those that are driving it - the every day worker

I worked at Morneau Shepell as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Morneau Shepell has great potential are not selective selective with their hiring process, especially for Call Center Team Managers in Broker Services.

    Cons

Morneau Shepell in Atlanta, Ga is a joke. Most of the employees there are temporary through local agencies and the selection of people are very poor choices, they hire anyone. Many of the people don't posses the education and experience for the positions in the Call Center. The business culture in Atlanta, GA is a playground. The onsite training is poor and it's unorganized. The call center managers are unprofessional. They are dishonest and sneaky. They will tell lies to get people dismissed from the position. If improvement on job performance is needed, they won't tell the worker or recommended the necessary training to succeed, instead they will have that person terminated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire employees directly. Too much time and money is being wasted through temporary agencies in Atlanta, GA.
